LIFE-SYNFLUOR for Merck Young Chemists' Symposium 2024
The twenty-third annual event organized by the Italian Chemical Society, MYCS 2024, was held in Rimini, Italy. FLUORSID, among the main sponsors, was represented by Elisa Casula, project manager of LIFE-SYNFLUOR, who presented the new project.
Welcome meeting
Michele Lavanga, Special Projects Director, and Luca Pala, Research & Development Director and coordinator of LIFE-SYNFLUOR took part in the LIFE23 Welcome meeting, held in Brussels, presenting the project, which has now got into the thick of things and will see the company engaged until 2028.
LIFE-SYNFLUOR for Next Generation Chemists 2024
Elisa Casula, Project Manager, presented the project at the Next Generation Chemists 2024 - La Parola ai Giovani conference, organized by the Società Chimica Italiana. The event was held in Sassari, at the University Pole in Via Vienna, and was an opportunity to introduce the project to the public for the first time.
Kick-off meeting
The project officially kicks off with the kick-off meeting. The meeting, which took place online and was attended by FLUORSID, Pirelli and Deloitte, represented the first planned milestone of LIFE-SYNFLUOR and was opened by Luca Pala, R&D director and project coordinator: “This new beginning marks an important chapter for FLUORSID: it is a technological challenge that we are committed to pursuing and that we hope will generate very significant results.”
Signing the Grant Agreement
The signing of the Grant Agreement marking the beginning of this new adventure, in partnership with Pirelli. September 1 is made official as the project start date.
Acceptance of application
The application submitted by FLUORSID is accepted by the European Union, which will co-finance the project for a total of 4,917,012.51 euros.
Application submission
After years of research, FLUORSID is applying for LIFE, the European Commission's program in operation since 1992 and the EU's main financial instrument dedicated to the environment and climate action.
